One could certainly understand why thousands of children across BC were mesmerized by Dr. Zonk, the green-wigged “mad scientist” who made chemistry fun for over 25 years on TV and for local school groups.
Now an Emeritus Professor at the University of Victoria, Dr. Mitchell enjoys not only talking to children but he teaches the real life relevance of chemistry to numerous community groups, including organizations such as PROBUS.
We all learned a lot about steroids, botox, and even those little blue pills through his lively presentation accompanied by numerous illustrations and photographs (both fun and provocative)!
