John Deniseger, who has had a distinguished career (and vocation), as a biologist and former head of environmental quality on Vancouver Island for the provincial government, and is supposedly now “retired”, continues with his involvement on the new Greig Rhodo species Garden due to be opened this Spring. He spoke to us about the past history, where Milner stands at present, and future plans for the Gardens.
Today, Milner stands on 70 acres and receives over 25,000 visitors a year. People visit year round for special events such as Christmas Magic, but the main attraction is the spectacular rhododendron garden which features over 150 species of this lovely plant.
