First we’ll enjoy music, carols and treats at the December 6th regular meeting (and a very short AGM). Then, a week later on December 13th, we get together for the annual Christmas Dinner & Dance. What a lovely way to end the year.
This also brings my two years as president of our club to a close. I have appreciated working with the two overlapping management teams very much. I enjoyed learning from so many amazing people, those who have given their time, energy, creativity and organizational skills to ensure the club runs smoothly.
I heartily recommend two items for your 2014 “To Do” list: the first is to invite a friend or new neighbour to join our club (give them one of our cards); and the second is to volunteer to do at least one thing that benefits everyone. It could be as simple as helping with a coffee break or recommending a speaker. Both items will enrich our club and I guarantee, they will enrich your life. They sure worked for me!
