First Newsletter May 2003
On March 12th, 2003 a meeting was held to measure the level of interest in forming a new Probus Club In the area. Ninety people attended that meeting in addition to members of the Nanoose Probus Management Committee and representatives of Probus Canada.
That meeting ended with 89 completed membership applications. Volunteers for the Steering Committee were:

The Inaugural Meeting was held on April 30th, 2003. Anne Gransden moved that “The Northwest Bay Probus Club Constitution be accepted by all members present as prepared”. The motion was seconded by Martyn Green and approved by the 110 members and 3 guests that were present.

The slate of officers for that first year was acclaimed. They were:
