President’s Message – December 2019

It’s hard to believe that we’re only weeks away from Christmas and the end of another year of wonderful speakers, fun social activities and the opportunity to make new friends.  I’m also delighted that we’ve begun planning for the future and in 2020 we will create several new special interest groups and an exciting array of arts and entertainment activities.

This will be my last President’s message as my 2 year term as your President ends Dec 31^st. It’s been an honour to serve in this role and I’ve had a lot of fun during my 2 year stint. I’ve been blessed with a great management team who have all provided me with outstanding support as they go about making our Club the best on the Island! I also want to thank you, our members for your enthusiasm and interest in participating in many of our activities.

At our December meeting we’ll first have our Annual General Meeting which I promise will be very short followed by a brief business meeting. Then we’ll break for what promises to be great eats and I understand something special to drink. There may even be some entertainment to celebrate the Christmas season so, if you have one, come dressed in your best ugly Christmas sweater or tie.
