November? Already? Didn’t we just celebrate Labour Day? Soon we’ll have ghosts and goblins lurking on our front porches and then it will be Christmas. Speaking of which, I hope that you are signing up for the 20th Anniversary Christmas Party on December 6th. If you know of people who are no longer members of Probus but who might like to be invited to the celebration, please let Joanie know and she will invite them if there is space.
I must thank Al and Leslie for pinch-hitting for Terry and me at the last Probus meeting. We had such a good time with our son and daughter-in-law who visited in late September that we decided to celebrate by getting Covid. I can assure you Covid is now OFF my bucket list….not that it was ever on it! I know Al and Leslie did a wonderful job…. Leslie was kind enough to share her goodies with us to help us get better! Amazing butter tarts. Between coughing fits, Terry was literally purring.
Don Dempson is the speaker this month, and will be discussing our Haida Gwaii trip. I am sure that it will be very special and no doubt there will be a surprise or two along the way…please join us!
