Walking club members enjoyed the mostly shaded walk on a warm July day around Westwood Lake. The trail is 5.51 km, relatively flat and well groomed and follows the contours of the water.
Expecting half the number that actually came, the delighted, but understaffed and slightly frazzled owner of the Westwood Lake Bistro did a great job accommodating over 25 tired and hungry walkers.
BTW – you are automatically a member of the Walking Club once you come on just one walk and everyone is welcome!
