On Wed., June 24th sixteen club members and guests assembled in downtown Nanaimo to walk the streets. The sky was overcast which was the perfect weather for taking pictures and hiking the harbour front.
Six teams participated in the Club’s first ever digital scavenger hunt. Their team names were: Short Stack, Retail Therapy, KLM, Old Farts, Shipwrecks and Digital Divas.
The teams found most of the people in Nanaimo very friendly and helpful towards their search. Some strangers even decided to join them on their walk .
We all met at The Light House Bistro for lunch and show and tell. Teams scoring the highest on their hunt were Short Stack (Joy, Sharon and Diane) and KLM (Kim, Peggy and Loretta). A tie breaker for the most artistic photo by each team saw team KLM as the winner.
Feedback for the event was positive and everyone agreed it was fun and informative. Nanaimo has lots of sights to offer for a digital scavenger hunt.
