The Truffle Farm was a lovely venue for a relaxing Easter Saturday afternoon tea, and 10 of us Probus members joined the festive group, quite a few of the participants wearing pretty floral dresses for the occasion, even one or two sporting hats, and Sonya, not to be outdone, wearing her cute Easter Bunny ears.
The food was chosen to be a blend of the traditional (scones, small sandwiches, chocolate eclairs and macaroons), complemented with local ingredients such as smoked salmon and a taste of truffles in the egg salad sandwiches. A very special touch was the Easter egg-shaped truffle bomb cakes, providing elegant, edible decorations among the flowers (you may spot a couple in the photos).
Delicious Earl Grey tea was served at the table, with some lovely local herbal tea options available, including The Truffle Farm’s signature truffle-infused blend.
It was a lovely welcome to spring.
