Gabriola Tour

On Tuesday, June 12th we’ll car pool to the 9:40 a.m. ferry in Nanaimo.  It’s a 20-minute ride across the channel to the beautiful and charming Gulf Island of Gabriola.  There is so much to do on Gabriola, but here are a few of the tentative arrangements:

  • A visit to “Malaspina Galleries”, a unique and lunar-like surface shaped by winds and surf, with large overhangs and wild formations;
  • Brickyard Beach;
  • Ravenskill Orchard and Cidery for a taste of Gabbie’s hard apple cider;
  • Petroglyphs;
  • Drumbeg Provincial Park;
  • Wild Rose Farm & Garden Centre;
  • Surf Lodge and Pub for lunch.

The arrangements will be fine-tuned during the first week of June and participants be notified.  Learn more at the June 1st Membership Meeting where you can sign up to come along on the tour, or you can sign up here.  Linda Burrows is the coordinator.
