Northwest Bay PROBUS | Summer Picnic |
More than sixty happy members and guests sporting red & white attire attended our annual Summer Picnic, which was held at the Rotary Park in Qualicum Beach. We were rewarded with a sunny, warm afternoon so we could all relax, sip our wine and socialize. A few energetic souls took up the challenge of Paul Kolodziej`s (designer) “Stick-it” game. Also, back by popular demand from last year`s event, the Spice of Life Catering team served up a veritable feast. Who could resist the array of salads, fresh seafood pasta, and tasty herbed chicken followed by yummy desserts.
Special thanks go out to the picnic committee: Robert Grose (masterful MC), Phil Howell (grooving music man) and our ground crew; Richard Pratt, Norm Kilarski and Kim Rasmussen. Thanks also to those who helped with the set-up and take down of tables, chairs, tents, and decorations; so many hands making it all light work.
