President’s Message – May 2018

Well, wasn’t that a party!  With 61 members and 11 guests present, we had a packed house as we celebrated our Club’s 15th Anniversary in grand style at the April meeting.  Looks as though our Snowbirds are home to roost and to welcome Springtime in beautiful Nanoose Bay and environs.

Don and Phil provided us with a montage of past events, Keith McGregor (PROBUS Canada Director for Vancouver Island) congratulated us on the success of our Club and Linda provided a scrumptious birthday cake for the occasion.  We look forward to many more years of success and many more happy anniversaries.

I shall be away on a trip from April 19 to May 28 visiting the UK, Norway and Iceland  but Don Dempson has kindly agreed to chair our May meeting.   Be sure to come to St.Mary’s on 4th to hear  our Speaker, Byron Horner who will be speaking about the IMAX film The Great Bear Rain Forest.
