In my last message I was grousing about the cool, damp weather we had been enduring for months. As I look out my window at the sunny blue sky, I am hopeful our summer has begun. There, I have just jinxed it!
Over next few months, our speakers will be coming to St. Mary’s in person. We encourage you to join us at the hall. We won’t be providing a combination of zoom and in-person sessions as it is very cumbersome. People are asked to be double-vaxxed and to wear a mask in the hall, except when eating or speaking at the podium. Especially for those of us who are hopeless at games like golf, we miss seeing you! Please join us.
There will be goodies!
I am also looking forward to our July 20th picnic. I am sure it will be a lot of fun. Joanie and her elves are working their usual magic. In advance, thank you to you all.
If any of you are interested, we are still looking for leaders of the walking group and possibly a hiking group and a Ladies Luncheon Group. At the July 8 meeting, I will put a sign-up list for people interested in joining/leading any of these groups. Ideally, it would be nice to have 8-10 people per group. I will also bring the sign-up sheets to the picnic.
For the fourth time I would also like to try organizing a Restaurant Dinner Group. I will organize the first restaurant and then each member can take turns organizing one meeting. Hopefully we’ll learn about some new and interesting places to eat.
