President’s Message – October 2019

As Thomas Merton once said: October is a fine and dangerous season . . . a wonderful time to begin anything at all. Your Management Team has decided to heed Merton’s advice and begin a planning process this month. We want to get feedback from you on ideas to strengthen our existing programs as well as to identify new activities that may appeal to our members. We’ll soon be sending out a questionnaire by email that we encourage you to fill out. Our plan is to present the survey results at our November meeting and to have a brief session at the meeting to explore expanding existing programs and to initiate action for new activities with assigned facilitators. Please help us make our Probus club even better!

Chuck and I were lucky to be able to go on the wonderful Okanagan wine tour in September. Lynne Hannay and Don Dempson did a fantastic job of organizing the tour and it was a lot of fun. We visited many terrific wineries and many bottles of wine were purchased! And of course there are pictures – see Don’s report of the tour and his pictures below.

See you at the October 4th meeting,
Marnie
