2024  Year of the Dragon

The dragon enjoys a high reputation in Chinese culture representing auspiciousness and has been associated with Imperial power since ancient times.

For this Year of the Dragon, Sharon Seibt once again organized a Chinese New Year Dim Sum celebration at the Shanghai Restaurant in Nanaimo. Sharon pre-ordered all the food, ensuring it was varied, interesting and very delicious, not to mention plentiful!  To quote our President Jim, “While many of us may not have been able to pronounce the names of the various dishes, that did not restrict our consumption at all”.

A great time was had by all.
