Out & About: Newcastle Island Hike

Get your walking shoes on and join us for a “Walk and Dine” on beautiful Newcastle Island followed by lunch at the Dinghy Dock Pub.  This is a real gem in our Nanaimo Parks system not to be missed. It’s an easy 8km-2 hour hike around Newcastle Island. The hike is suitable for dogs but they don’t serve them at the Dinghy Dock Pub.

Date: Friday, October 14: 10:00am at the dock.  Boat leaves 10:10 am

Meeting Place: The Dinghy Dock Boat ramp, opposite the Port Theatre. We take the Dinghy Dock Boat to Newcastle Island – Cost $8.00 seniors($2.00 dogs)-pay there. After the hike we get the same boat to the Dinghy Dock Pub on Protection Island and after lunch the boat returns to the boat ramp where we started.
