We basked in the sunshine and perfect weather on our trip to Mt. Washington on August 9. Twelve Probus members enjoyed the chairlift ride to the top of the mountain where we meandered on the trails and took in the beautiful 360- degree views. We ate our picnic lunches while balancing on cattywampus picnic tables and a log. The only mishap was cookies that slid from table top to dusty ground.
Following lunch, we rode the chairlift back down and drove a few minutes to Paradise Meadows. The valley floor is picturesque and laced with well-maintained trails. We walked 2 loops for a total of about 3.5 km and many of us talked about returning to explore more of the trails. A good day taking in such beautiful scenery so close to home!
